Ban reason and length: Emagging the shuttle as a non-antag and then rampaging on the shuttle FNR In investigation lied to admin about being assaulted and antagonized to fight back. Lying to an admin for whatever reason. Ban length, 10080 minutes

Your side of the story: I figure that you probably get this excuse all the time, but I'm fairly new to this game and didn't know emagging the shuttle as a non-antag was a bad thing. In reality I was really tired and just wanted the round to end sooner so I could go to sleep without having to space myself. As for the rampage with the laser sword, someone else on the shuttle said something that was a bit traitor-ish, so I asked him if he was a traitor, and I admit, holding a laser sword is probably not the best thing to do as a non-antag, and I totally got what was coming to me, but someone else on the shuttle came up behind me and disarmed me. I picked up the laser sword and slashed at him, and then the guy that I was suspicious of fired off a shot of something, I can't remember if it was a gun or just a plain old disabler, however, I was already jumpy from just being disarmed without warning, so I figured the gunfire had been directed at me, so I went and hit the guy with my sword. Those were the only two people I killed, besides the guy earlier in the round whom I'd encountered carrying the laser sword who later ran away from me without explaining so I shot him and took his emag and his sword. I'd hardly call it a rampage, but in hindsight I may have overreacted. And as for the 'lied to the admin,' part, I was just giving my side of the story of what I thought was happening at what was going on at the time. I assumed they were both attacking me so I retaliated. I may not have been right, but it was what I thought was going on and what made me do it.

Why you think you should be unbanned: I think I should be unbanned because I had no clue that emagging the shuttle as a non-antag was bad and looking back I realize I shouldn't have. I also realize that I should not have jumped to conclusions about people's actions such as disarming and gunfire. I also think I should be unbanned because this is my first time breaking any rules and I believe that a week for fucking up one round is unnecessary, and honestly I care enough to type this 500,000 word story about how I fucked up and I'm sorry. If unbanned (or when my ban expires if I'm not unbanned) I promise I'll never slip up like this again. Thank you in advance.

You ban has been lifted since it was your first offense, hopefully after seeing how harsh a punishment can be for even a newbie you'll try to absorb the rules a bit better and won't mess up, that said, we will be watching. Being new is a very short lived excuse for poor behavior.
