I try to encourage creativity much as I can, and foster an RP-friendly environment where possible, and I know Okand feels the same way. antagonists, the catalysts in every story and each round.
Don't be afraid to run cool gimmicks just because of failures. All too often when admining I see an antag drop into deadchat frustrated and angry that the validhunters spoiled their fun. They decide that the only recourse is to just act as the validhunters expect them to act, and turn to murderbone. We see less and less cool things and more wordless e-bow/ e-sword murders in the hall.
We think alike on this. Stealth tators that wait until 1hr+ in to start causing massive problems are more fun. Everyone has settled in thinking the round is extended, then it all goes to hell.
Another issue on this is Captains who call the shuttle 30mins in because "lol, bored, fuck this."
Which brings me to this.

CE comes in, get in fight over the engine, he likes the easy mode engine, I like the sing. Tesla is boring.
Wind up setting up the tesla, he tells me if I'm bored to go set up the even more boring solars.
Have a smoke, CE comes in and drags me to the cap's office, gives me all access. Thanks CE. Says to get the solars up asap.
Get one solar array wired, cap calls the shuttle cause "bored" at about 20mins in.
Common channel erupts with rage.
Shuttle gets recalled.
Cap orders sec to let the tators do their thing as long as they don't murderbone, which was cool.
Wire another solar array, fix a few minor hull breaches. (I generally go around the outside because of this.)
I'm on the last solar when engineering explodes.
Haven't seen or heard from the CE since being in the cap's office.
Late-join engie says poly is dead. Good.
They start screaming on the radio about not knowing how to fix airlocks.
Start back, someone has emagged through atmos. I give it a quick once-over to make sure a plasma flood is not incoming.
Start teaching the other engie how to repair an airlock.
Cap calls shuttle cause "bored, and tators are gonna start murderboning, should have their objectives by now"
Common channel erupts again.
Round ends at 59mins, station integrity is 95% or better. *sigh*

Engineer
CE comes in, says set up tesla, same one from last round.
I blow up. I'm absolutely livid. Get into a prolonged screaming match with the CE. He won't budge. Says he likes it easy. I say something along the lines of any 2 year old hairless ape can run a tesla. He stomps out of engineering, ordering me to get the tesla up. I'm the only engie.
I seriously consider setting up the sing. The entire time I'm wrenching stuff down and cleaning up the containment area I'm considering it, even considering spacing the tesla parts and leaving the engine dead. Decide that even though at this point I think the CE is a spineless idiot who won't even hang around to run his department, I'll follow the orders that way it's not on me if theres a lvl 5 sing raging through the station.
Fire up the tesla, "forgetting" to lock the emitters or turn the PA down after it starts, not like it will break containment anyway.
Take some cable, insul gloves and cigs. Start prowling maint looking for broken wires and mice.
Really hoping some tator will set the tesla loose.
Still steaming mad.
Don't remember what went wrong, wasn't paying attention at this point. May have been the meaty ores round.
Haven't heard a thing from the CE.
Began trying to tell someone in ooc that it's easier to rcd an airlock than manually place it, think it's the same late-join engie from last round. (Apparently the wiki is too hard for some people to understand)
Shuttle called, round ended 45 mins in, IIRC HoP was tator, stole the shuttle.
Engine didn't get loose. I hate the tesla. It does not need to be pre-setup. Put the parts in storage, and remove the wiring up to the point it comes out of the PA room so it's actually a lot of work to set it up, please. Lord Singuloth needs love too.
Last round of the night. I've already resigned myself to complete and utter boredom with another tesla.

You guessed it, same CE.

I sigh, decide to just space myself.
CE tells me just to set it up any way I want, as I've ran engineering solo under him for the last 2 shifts.

Get Lord Singuloth up to level 3. A lvl 3 sing is such a thing of beauty.
I'm cleaning up the mess the CE left after rummaging through the lockers, enjoying Singuloth's company.
All the lights in science, escape, and genetics blow up.
*Sigh* Everyone yells for engineering to do the janitors job, change the lights.
Tell them I'll get there as soon as I get the engine settled in.
Shut the PA down to 0 to keep Singuloth contained.
Lag goes from bad to ridiculous. (I'm talking multiple seconds of lag.)
Trying to shut the radiation shutters, I lag, hit d once too many times and slam the shutters on myself. Ouch.
I was having a good round up until this point.
Don my hardsuit, pick up the light replacer, warm up 2 donk pockets to help heal and head off to science.
Takes forever because of fixing wires along the way, and lag.
Folks are complaining I'm taking too long, even though I've indicated I'm on my way.
Fix the lights in escape and the hallway.
Call xeno to let me in, as they have been the nicest about it.
Ah, a fellow lizard. This should go well.
The lights aren't out, They just want some more in the aft containment pen. "Sigh."

I begin to offer to drag the poor sucker to medbay, as I'm headed that way anyway, she takes off with him.
Hardsuits slow you down, stuck at the entrance to xeno.

Ask AI to let me out. It does.
Change lights on the way out. Stuck at science entrance. No one is around.

Get ready to disassemble my way out.
Someone comes in, get through the inner doors.

CE bashes through the door. That's where he's been, getting hulked.

Now the round really turns to shit.
Go to HoP to ask for access. 3 in the line. HoP denies an assistant all access, gives him basic. GJ HoP. Whatever it is in front of me has lost their ID, been transformed and given a name change. Long argument about getting an ID.
Medibot comes by and injects me about 5 times. (how can it do this through a hardsuit?)
HoP shoos the other guy off finally. I ask for all access to change lights. HoP says that's reasonable, starts giving me access.
I pass out. Shit.
Someone drags me to medbay, puts me in cryo WITH A HARDSUIT ON, HELMET ENGAGED!
I bounce between a sleeper and cryo. Take my hardsuit off and this will go much better. Nope, not happening.
I finally can move again. Make the assumption all is ok now, go back to HoP, collapse.
Get pulled back to medbay by the same person, thrown in cryo, again WITH MY HARDSUIT ON.
Get bitched at about being back in medbay so soon, and the guy leaves, doesn't even check me out.
Make it back to HoP, manage to get my ID, notice health is falling fast.
Scoot back to medbay, go to storage, vend a health analyzer and check myself.
Blood level at 68% no wonder.
I think it was the same person runs in screaming at me about being in medbay storage.

Get thrown in cryo, you guessed it, with my hardsuit on. *sigh*
This time the doc hangs around for me to get out of the sleeper, bitches at me not to get myself killed.

Pulls out analyzer, scans me. Why didn't you do that the first time doofus? Drags me to another room.
"Blood type L, that's odd."
My helmet has been retracted for the entirely of this visit, and it's not like I'm a pink skin or anything. Hello? Bright blue lizard with purple eyes? You blind?
"I'm a lizard, that'sss normal for usss."
He gets a blood infusion started. Finally, someone actually does what I was going to do myself but I passed out!
Infusion completes, he scans me again.
"Looks like you're good this time. Maybe you should just live here."
"It would be sssafer."
He takes off and slips on some chucklefuck's bar of syndie soap.
"Thanksss for the help, now I'm going to change the lightsss like I ssstarted to do nearly an hour ago."
Work my way out of medbay, throwing the 1+e18 bars of syndie soap that are littering medbay out of the way.

Shit, better go check on Lord Singuloth.

Start changing lights in the primary hallway, they're all out again.
Sentient slime asks if I'm the CE.

Slime thanks me for fixing the lights. First time outside of xeno that's happened.
Hulks are smashing the station to bits.

At this point I really don't care, but I go in and change the hallway bulbs again anyway.
Light replacer runs dry.
Xeno lights blow out.
I just tell em to get out of there, shuttle's just 10 mins out anyway.
Throw the light replacer away, head back to engineering.
Fight through firelocks, metal foam, and hull breaches.
Plasma fire in science.
Someone runs into atmos wanting a firesuit. I follow and show them where they are.
They want me to come help.
No, my hardsuit doesn't protect against fire and the atmos one is gone.
Find a corgi in the distro room, along with all the spare IDs the HoP was looking for earlier. It's not Ian, but santa's corgi.
Verify that the plasma is not coming from atmos. Nope, probably toxins.
Go back to the engine room. Consider just staying with Singuloth. Still a beauty at lvl3.
1h40 mins in, still stable. Now what was that about the tesla being love and life again?
Say over engineering. "Now what wasss that about the sssing being dangerousss?"
Yes, I'm gloating. I think they killed the CE about 15mins ago anyway.
Shuttle is 1 min out.
Singuloth falls to level 2, and bounces back to three a couple times as if telling me to save myself.
"Yesss Lord Sssinguloth, I underssstand. Goodbye my friend."
Immediately back to full lvl3, doesn't drop back.
Get on the pod, buckle in.
Survive(until the usual murderbone at centcom.)
