I've worked every day since haloween (Including it) twelve hour shifts except one.

I've got blisters on my blisters but I got a week off for it, And it won't even hurt my paycheck, the way the pay cycle is cut, My time is all in. No overtime through the same witchcraft, but at least I get what pretty much amounts to a paid week off.

Still not sure if it's worth it, kinda feels like I'm getting ripped off, 72+ hours in a seven day period but magically no overtime, But on the other hand I get that week without dipping into vacation time, or calling in sick, or what have you. Was it worth it? Or is the person who wrote the schedule literately beelzebub-hitler?

If you've been following the epic saga in Sybil OOC of "PK asks a girl out," turns out after 6 hours in the hospital doctors were able to safely say she does not have appendicitis. Apparently an egg dropped wrong or some shit idk, she wasn't super enthusiastic to share details, but assuming she recovers well I'll have a date either this Tuesday or Wednesday. Woo

Date ended up happening today, we saw a movie after walking about a bit. Not super happy since it didn't go as well as I'd have liked, but it wasn't bad either. Might get a second one later but there wasn't nearly enough interaction for this one, we hardly talked.

What did they make you do?

So I'm a contracted IT techy, I work in schools, I go to sites for prebooked visits. (the same every week, so its more like being an agency worker)

I'm a damned good technician, even my bosses were saying I'm one of the best technicians they have, but I'm you're stereotypical computer nerd - heavily introverted, prefer to keep myself to myself.
The schools they don't just want that though, they're not just satisfied with someone that keeps their systems running and ensures they can keep teaching (you know, what they actually pay us to do).
They want someone thats their friend - I don't just mean someone that patient with them and acts kindly towards them (even when they're being complete idiots), I mean someone that engages in small talk with them, gives a shit about their kids etc.

One of my schools, my main one, has not only slashed their hours down (because their new management are feckless and literally decided to have an IT budget this year of zero) they've asked for another technician back - not because he was a better techy than me (he's worse in fact) but because he's more personable and the school's management like him better.

Its a fucking bullshit popularity contest, thats what it is, and its put me in a position where I could potentially loose my job.
I'm not worried about loosing my job, I'm fine financially and I've got three years experience of sys admin and desktop support. I'm just pissed off that I can be so under appreciated by the cunts whose lives I make easy.

Driving along in my girly girly suzuki swift. Coming up to the round about some shit box card with atleast 2 dents on it speeds right up to my ass driven by some maniac woman, honk, barely doesn't add me to her totem pole.

We exit onto the highway on ramp. Up my ass the entire time. We happen to change into the same lane twice because I know where I need to go and weirdly you near implant yourself in the backside of another car it covers the blinkers pretty sure she almost hits me in her quest for fast. Overtakes me once I am in my lane and speeds into the distance. I honk again this time in warning you see this one stretch of highway is a little special. It literally has a sign up basically saying "loads of cameras up ahead don't speed lol" from the government been there for years and at the upcoming bridge each lane is covered by 2 cameras each minimum. She just goes straight ahead into the flashing lights seeya hoon grill.
