I was theorycrafting this last night in dead chat and about a month ago in dead chat with WJ, and it was there I remembered you could emag the wildlife simulation on the holodeck to make holocarp. Common knowledge, right? Well, I also learned that if you have a chameleon projector, holocarp do not attack you. This means that you can keep switching back and to wildlife simulation and emagging it for a stupid amount of holocarp, walking out of the dorms using your disguise, then dropping it once you're out to lead your carpy horde into the station proper, then putting on your projector again to keep making your carpy horde.
The only thing that might not make this work is if holocarp despawn when the console is emagged again, and due to me being unable to test it due to not being a traitor in like 3 years, I haven't been able to see if this was true. If anyone who reads this ends up doing this, you will be a god amongst men (or lizards).

I'm pretty sure that holocarp despawn if they're still in the holodeck when the simulation changes, so you have to bait out all the carps between every "wave".

Might be a minor setback, but if you got a traitor buddy helping you lure them out it'll be a lot more doable, if it's even true.
If you're suitably fucking insane you could also do this as Ops I guess.

Carp don't despawn if you change the holodeck setting, but if you destroy the holodeck enough you can't make any more. One of my favourite AI tactics is to spawn three dozen holocarp, bolt open the deck and fitness room, and announce "PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE HOLODECK". Half the crew goes to see what it's about.

Ok so it's exactly as lethal as I thought, you should theoretically be able to bait the carps outside by dropping your chameleon projector.

You undoubtedly could, but whether or not you'd be able to re-chameleon in time is doubtful. There's a short cooldown, I think, and they move pretty fast.
