Sex crimes should be punishable IC but if and only if the rape-ee is willing OOCly, which will be hard to check honestly because there's still no form of LOOC on these servers. Great to know that clown bombs will be seeing more use.

I was the dissenting opinion when we originally placed the ban on ERP because I always thought it was hilarious as long as it wasn't forced onto others.

Some of my most memorable moments involved ERP in some way.

I would say to return to previous ERP rules:
1. Heads and important roles may not leave their duties in order to ERP (sorry, Phoebe!).
2. Public ERP is grounds for admin abuse!
3. "Rape" ERP is allowed only if OOC consent is acknowledged with all parties involved.
4. Forced ERP (especially rape) of any kind is punishable by a permanent ban.

Right now, we would be at 'Ecchi' levels of erotic things, and some actual, full ERP does still happen, rarely.

ERPers breed like flies, injecting their eggs into an otherwise fresh succulent fruit, and the next thing you know it's crawling with maggots. A lot of the old ERPers moved on to other places where it's acceptable to fill every emote with terrible spelling mistakes due to furiously masturbating, but mark my words, enough of them will come back to spoil the server once more and leave a jizz stain on our reputation.

The funny part is that it was never really the ERP itself that was the problem, it was the fact that every ghost and character on the server would flock to watch. Thus, the real motive was revealed.

To be fair, concerns around heads of staff abandoning their duties are very much valid. Heads should not be abandoning their duties.

IC sex crimes might be better for a server with heavier roleplay. it might work on/tg/, but i've never personally seen considerable RP, so.
OOC is fine imo. even better, keep sex crimes (and subsequently players consenting to it) in adminhelps. this lets admins make sure that "safe, sane, consensual" is being followed.

agreed on heads being stuck at their jobs, but consider letting them only if it's a super boring round for them and there's nothing to do. in the future, that is.

i'll also mention this on the Changelog tomorrow.

Really though my biggest problem with ERP is there isn't really a way to stop listening to it, because if the ERPers whisper you hear it as a ghost no matter what, and I don't want to read some interactive neckbeard smut when I'm trying to observe SS13.

I have quite a few fond memories of admin intervention against ERP attempts, the most notable being the corgi squad sent in to disrupt the Captain's meeting with the Mime.

I say unban ERP, just so long as admins have carte blanche to do whatever they want to interrupt said individuals.

Also perhaps make it a permable offence to have sex on station, chalk it up to wasting company time and being highly inappropriate for professionals on board a state of the art space station.

The game has murder as a major part of it, even nudity.

People crying about erp to begin with never made sense. We're playing a shitty 2d RP game. If people want to do very shitty, lewd RP in a room where no one else can see what they're doing (unless you're a ghost or aghost that goes out of their way to hover around them), then why the fuck not?
It literally does not effect me in anyway, so unless people are running off and ERPing every round in impoprtant jobs/fucking in the halls/raping people, who cares?
