There's a better way of doing this than just deforming the sprite with a matrix that gives better results. Look up displacement maps in the reference if you're interested.

You could also just spawn it on the bridge. If there the problem with making its spawn location variable is that newer heads of staff might not even know that the disk CAN spawn in their office, so they'll forget to pick it up

This wouldn't actually solve the underlying issue since most situations with many uploads involved someone printing an upload board. If they can make one, they can almost certainly make more.
