Re: Everyone on manual is so nice and accepting it gives me a fucking headache.
I've played almost exclusively medbay since returning (because apparently medical is way more interesting than it was several years ago) and I've had pretty pleasant experiences so far. Staff talks to staff, paras coordinate with MDs, people stay out of eachother's way or back off if they think they ...

Manuel feels like the server that could use respawn in a productive way. Require you to respawn as a different character each time and hold them very strictly to the rp standard of manuel. Allowing respawns would help alleviate the big concern of round removing people from a server that ...

Law coequality is an interesting thought experiment but it gets muddled really really fast. I'm sure Asimov touched on it at some point but I haven't read that part yet. I'd imagine it would almost always result in paralysis. (Like most Asimovian problems)

It doesn't take a lot of creativity to make up an excuse for why you stared off into space for 10 minutes.
Also, considering "space lag" is a thing I've heard used unironically millions of times I'd say standards are pretty low for technicalities.

A generalized set of space law conditions is fine. I think it would be worthy to explore the concept of a more hands-on approach by having the Captain (or acting captain) authorize a set of daily "standing orders" instead. Absent a captain-decree, the crew would be given a default from centcomm ...

Burnout happens when you feel like you've either exhausted your creativity or you've run out of things to learn.
