Just a thought I had, when a slime person heats up they should be able to melt into a normal slime and gain a abilty to reform there body when they cool down. When they do they drop all of there items they head but they can slip into vents and but don't have the abilty to latch on to others and eat ...

I was thinking back to star Trak and others SiFi shows and then recalled that the Holo deck can make objects that can hurt or even kill you so i was thinking it would a cool extra thing if the AI could make a body there to interact with the crew but is limited to only the Holo deck.
